CadenceDelete your account and data
You can remove local Cadence data from your device and ask us to delete associated server-side records.
1. Cancel any subscription separately
Deleting data does not automatically cancel an Apple or Stripe subscription. First visit Manage subscription and cancel with the platform where you purchased.
2. Delete your account in the app
Open Cadence and go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. Confirming there permanently deletes your Cadence account and everything stored against it on our servers: your Strava connection and access tokens, imported activity records, run sessions, and any onboarding answers saved from the web. This happens immediately and does not require contacting us.
Deleting your account also clears the app's local data on that device. If you only want to remove local data, deleting the app from your iPhone removes its SwiftData store, preferences, cached run imports, alarm state, and local proof-photo files. You can revoke Cadence permissions in iOS Settings and disconnect Cadence from Apple Health and Strava at any time.
3. If you no longer have the app
If you have already removed Cadence and cannot use the in-app deletion, email cadencerunningsupport@gmail.com with the subject “Cadence Account Deletion Request.” Include the email used for web checkout, if any, and say whether you connected Strava. Because Cadence may use an anonymous backend account, we may send steps to verify and locate the correct record.
After verification, we will delete or de-identify the relevant Cadence-controlled backend account, provider connection, imported activity records, and associated support data, except information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, or within the period required by applicable law.
What is handled by other providers
Apple, Stripe, Strava, Superwall, and other providers may retain records under their own legal obligations and policies. Canceling or deleting Cadence does not delete your Apple ID, Stripe customer records required for financial compliance, or your Strava account.
